The Minnesota South Stars announced today that they have signed free-agent right wing Marek Svatos of the Colorado Avalanche. Svatos made his NHL debut at the end of the 2003-04 season, scoring two goals in four games for the Avalanche. Svatos also appeared in 11 post-season games for Colorado, scoring six points (1G, 5A) including a game-winning goal against the Dallas Stars.
In order to make room on the roster for Svatos, the South Stars announced that they have waived Nashville Predators right wing Scott Hartnell.
